It stretches farther than almost any other on Lesbos, a band of smooth stones and fine sand where the water shelves gently and stays so clear you can count the pebbles under your feet. The village takes its name from a small chapel near the shore, and on a July afternoon the whole place seems built around a single idea: that the day should be spent in the sea.]]></description>
